We don’t like to talk about mental health as a society. It’s understandable, but it’s also risky, as mental health issues are far more prevalent than most of us realise. More than 70% of Britons, for example, were so stressed within the last 12 months they felt unable to cope. We also don’t like to talk about failure within the startup community. But again, with more than 90% of tech startups failing, it’s a reality that collides head on with mental health and general wellbeing.
My goal is to convince you that you and your team’s mental health is critical to your success, and share ideas about how you can address this in a safe, positive way that ultimately leads to better outcomes. Self-care isn’t optional, so lets stop treating it that way.
