As a product developer and eventual multiple-time founder, Paul Murphy discovered a knack for fundraising while working on the other side of the business on behalf of his own companies. After three years at Northzone, Paul once again indulged his passion for building products, creating Katch, an app designed to free busy people from their calendars. Paul first crossed paths with Lightspeed while he was at Betaworks.
Lightspeed had invested in two companies Paul helped develop: Giphy and Poncho. He was reintroduced to Lightspeed years later while working together on a co-investment, and it was then that he decided to make the jump to Lightspeed and help build the firm’s European presence.
