Turing Fest is located in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, taking place across two days: July 9th and 10th, 2024. Here are some details which you may find useful to plan your trip and maximise your time at Turing Fest 2024.

Located in central Edinburgh, the EICC is an impressive multi-purpose venue, with a team that is passionate about delivering world-changing events. Turing Fest will be held at the EICC.

Here’s how to get to Turing Fest:

Traveling by bus 🚌

Key Info:

If you’re arriving by bus, Edinburgh’s main bus terminal is located at St Andrews Square, providing connections to destinations across the UK.

For specific routes, you can visit the National Express or City Link websites. For local transport within Edinburgh, be sure to check out Lothian Buses.

Traveling by Train 🚆


Edinburgh is well-served by two major railway stations, each offering different routes and services.

Waverley Station: Located 1.3 miles from the EICC, Waverley Station provides direct routes throughout the UK. For detailed schedules and routes, refer to ScotRail or Trainline.

Haymarket Station: Just 0.4 miles away from the EICC, Haymarket Station serves both commuter and UK-wide routes. You can find specific stops and schedules by checking with your train service provider.

Traveling by Tram 🚋


Edinburgh Trams offer a convenient route between the Airport and York Place. The closest stop to the EICC is at Haymarket Station. For tram schedules and more information, visit the Edinburgh Trams website.

Walking 🚶‍♀️


Walking from Haymarket Station: If you’re arriving at Haymarket Station, it’s easy to walk to the EICC. Simply exit the station and head east towards the pedestrian crossing. From there, continue straight up Morrison Street, and you’ll find the EICC on your left.

International Travel ✈️

Travel from Edinburgh Airport:

For those flying into Edinburgh Airport, the Airlink 100 bus provides a frequent service to the city center. Disembark at Haymarket Station, which is a short 5-minute walk from the EICC. You can find more information about this bus service on the Lothian Buses website.

Passports and Identification Documents: Upon your arrival in the UK, depending on your nationality and departure location, you may be required to present a passport or identity document (ID). All passports and IDs must remain valid for the duration of your stay.

The 2 day conference will be on the 9th and 10th July 2024, with an opening party on the 8th of July, 2024

Here’s quick overview:

Monday 8 July, 2024 – 7pm opening party
Tuesday 9 July, 2024 – 8am doors open, 9:30am talks start for Day 1 of Turing Fest. Lunch, coffee, and happy hour are provided. There will also be a pub night/party on this night starting about 6pm.
Wednesday 10 July, 2024 – 8am doors open, 9:30am talks start for Day 2 of Turing Fest. Lunch, coffee, and happy hour are provided. There will also be a closing party starting about 6pm.

Yes! All the talks on the Build, Grow, and Lead tracks are recorded and will be available after the conference to ticket holders.

Yes! If you’ve got a ticket to Turing Fest, you will get first access to the talks after the conference. We’ll have three stages going at once for most of the event, so you can’t see it all. But don’t worry, you can catch up on what you missed later.

The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) is centrally located, with easy access to bus, rail and tram links. You’ll find the venue located a few minutes walk from Lothian Road or Fountain Bridge at Edinburgh International Conference Centre, The Exchange, 150 Morrison St, Edinburgh EH3 8EE.

By Rail:

Edinburgh Waverley railway station is approximately a 23 minute walk to the EICC.

Haymarket railway station is approximately an 8 minute walk to the EICC.

By Bus:

Edinburgh has a fantastic bus and tram network provided by Lothian Buses. You can plan your journey using their free, online tool here. Edinburgh Buses accept both cash & contactless payments. 

By Air:

Edinburgh Airport is situated on the west-side of the city, with easy and regular access to the city made available via Lothian Buses and the Tram network. If you would rather take a taxi, there is a taxi rank available at the Airport.
